With a Thankful Heart

As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, we would like to take a minute to express all that we are thankful for here at Special Abilities of North Texas.

We are thankful for our kind, bright, funny, hard-working, and talented ACEs. Each day, we are impressed by the things they are achieving. They are truly Adults Creating Excellence. Our ACEs have formed a community that supports each other, celebrates their peers’ accomplishments, and lifts up one another in hard times. Our ACEs are the heart and soul of Special Abilities of North Texas.

We are thankful for the families and caregivers. They volunteer their time, donate supplies, come together to provide lunch, and support our programs in any way they can. We are thankful that they entrust Special Abilities with the care and continuing skills development of their loved one.

We are thankful for all of the supporters, volunteers, board members, and grantors that back Special Abilities of North Texas. From attending our events, to sharing our posts on Facebook, to granting us the funds that help our program grow, we truly could not carry out our mission without these people and organizations.

We are thankful for our incredible staff. Words cannot express how important each staff member is to our organization. We have transformed the program in the past year and none of it would be possible without the talents and skills of each staff member. Their love for the ACEs shows in every interaction, every group activity, and every idea they bring to the table. Whether they have known the ACEs for a few weeks or many years, they never hesitate to go beyond the call of duty to ensure our ACEs have the best experience possible each day.

Special Abilities of North Texas is so very thankful to everyone that has supported us this year, as it has been the most successful year in our organization’s history. We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with their family and friends.
