Serving North Texas

Volunteer Opportunities

SPECIAL ABILITIES OF NORTH TEXAS loves our volunteers! We encourage, and appreciate volunteers both young and old,  individuals or small groups. Supporting people with special needs is one of the most rewarding ways for you to contribute your time to your community and learn more about acceptance and social change.  Our clients look forward to making new friends, and enjoy interactions with new people. Our volunteers help support the mission of Special Abilities of North Texas. We have a variety of ways you can get involved, and you don’t need specific experience.  We will provide you a brief orientation and description.  Contact us to explore the opportunities! We are sure you will find that helping our clients is not only rewarding for you, but you will be making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities. Please call to schedule a time to come in and visit with us so we can see if we are the right fit for you.

NEW Reading Program!

Volunteer now and join in our new Reading Program!

We are excited to introduce our reading program and provide volunteer opportunities to come and read with our students and clients with special needs!   Every one of these individuals have a level of need for reading, writing and other continuing education.   You can help, either working with individuals and groups in a classroom setting to read to them, or listen and support them in their own reading skills and comprehension.   All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer registration HERE.   Once you have registered with us as a volunteer, CLICK HERE to sign up for our Reading Program!
