World Humanitarian Day was observed this past Monday, Aug. 19. In the spirit of those who have dedicated their lives to humanitarian causes, Special Abilities decided to give back as well. The facility has been taking donations from parents and caregivers all week to create “Blessing Bags” for the homeless people in the area.
The Kindness Rocks Project will be sharing Special Abilities of North Texas on their Facebook page. After seeing pictures of ACEs creating ‘kindness rocks’ posted on Special Abilities’ Facebook page, the project’s administrators decided to share with their 92.5 thousand followers what our small community in North Texas has been up to this week.

Today we were presented THE NONPROFIT OF THE YEAR award through Unity in Communities, a collective organization of area chambers of commerce, civic organizations, city municipalities, and local businesses. This reflects so much of your hard work, determination and commitment toward our mission.
